Waterproof
Great phone, add a little silicon grease to the port covers and I've used the phone in salt water for over 8 hours, not just spray but under water traveling at speed, and up to around 2m deep in capsizes. I altered the cover to allow use of a lanyard. This type of phone needs a fitting to attach a line to otherwise it's near perfect. Someone still needs to work out how to get a touch screen to work when being washed with salt water, screen needs to be farely dry to work properly.

An outstanding smartphone
The Motorola Defy excels as a tough smartphone. Its quick and intuitive, has full access to the Android Market and uses the latest Gingerbread version of Android. As good as the iPhone 4, or better.

another fantastic product from Motorola
Defy definitely is one tough phone. I did a few drop test and submerge the phone in water for a few minutes. It all went fine. But just to be caution that the cover for the USB and earpiece must be kept closed. Processor 1GHz is good enough and interface is smooth and easy to use. Thumb up again for Motorola good work. I hope to see another rugged phone from Motorola in a the next 2 years time. Cheers...
